Under Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program, British Columbia initiates an Entrepreneur Immigration stream to attract promising business talents and investors to Canada. Both individual entrepreneurs and companies who can prove their worth are eligible to apply for citizenship under this scheme. If the application is successful, the applicant will get nominated by British Columbia for Citizenship. There are three categories of applications accepted under this program:

Entrepreneur

A foreign entrepreneur/ Senior business manager with relevant business management experience and a net worth of 600,000 CAD or more (of which at least 200,000 CAD is ready to be invested in a business in the province) is eligible to apply under this category.

Strategic Projects​

Under this category, five key members of a foreign company with proven business experience and global expansion potential can obtain Canadian citizenship. They must relocate to Canada and actively manage the new enterprise’s daily operations in the province. This offers large corporations a pathway to expand or relocate key operations to Canada.​

Regional Pilot

This program allows small rural or suburban communities (30+ km from a city, population under 75,000) to recommend entrepreneurs for Canadian citizenship. Applicants need a net worth of CAD 300,000, with at least CAD 100,000 investable in the proposed business. The venture must employ at least one Canadian and have a minimum 51% ownership by the immigrant investor.
